Experienced Family Solicitor/Legal Executive 
Derby – Hybrid remote or fully office based. 
 
The successful candidate will ideally have 2-5 years PQE and: 
• Must have excellent client care skills and experience in a range of private and legally aided family law work including divorce, separation, children, financial matters etc. 
• Be pro-active and able to successfully manage an independent caseload and conduct advocacy confidently. 
• Ideally be a member of Law Society Children or Family Law Panel (but applicants who are keen to work towards membership will be considered). 
 
You will be joining an established, supportive and friendly Firm, carrying out both private and legally aided work. Our usual office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, flexible/hybrid working arrangements and full and part-time hours are available.

A vacancy has arisen for a housing caseworker to join the active and experienced team at Derbyshire Law Centre. We are looking for someone who can start immediately. The role is suitable for both an experienced housing caseworker, solicitor, legal executive with ALS accreditation or someone at the start of their career in Law. Work will be allocated as per your experience, with the salary reflecting this. You will be supported to develop your skills. Candidates who have completed or who are working towards the LPC would be welcomed as would candidates with a law degree or post graduate legal qualification, as well as Solicitors or Legal Executives.

We are a leading Law Centre providing specialist legal advice to communities across Derbyshire. We are adaptive, innovative, and energetic, with a collective management structure and multiple funding streams. 
Job role 
The role requires a good knowledge of housing law. You must have a willingness to set up and take part in outreach sessions and undertake home visits, whilst being able to work with and advise the public by phone, virtually, in person and in writing. 
This post is part of the Collective Management structure, who have day to day responsibilities for the running of the charity, therefore experience of day-to-day decision-making responsibilities would be advantageous. 
 
Location of post 
The post involves working on project funded work in Erewash and therefore requires 2 days a week in Erewash Borough Council offices in Ilkeston. The remaining days will be at the Chesterfield office or home-working, upon completion of the 3-month probation period. 
We work a hybrid system where the initial 3 months of the 6-month probation period will be worked from the office. On completion of a 3-month assessment, full time staff are only required to work 3 days per week from the office. 
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications 
Applicants should have experience of providing legal advice across a variety of platforms. Due to the structure of the organisation, the role title will be caseworker, however, it is suitable for a Solicitor or Legal Executive. Experience of managing staff/volunteers and management in a voluntary setting would also be very welcome.
