As part of our programme of expansion, an excellent opportunity has become available for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our highly regarded Private Client team based in Chesterfield. 
 
Fulltime Hours – Permanent Contract 
 
Commencement date is immediate start (Dependant on Notice period). Hours of business are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. 
 
The Role 
The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in working on a broad range of private client matters specialising in a caseload of Probate, Court of Protection, Inheritance Tax, LPAs and Wills. You will have strong organisation skills, attention to detail and drafting skills and will possess the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will also have well-developed client care skills, are personable and confident and should enjoy working in a team environment with the ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues. 
 
The role would suit someone who is skilled at building lasting working relationships with clients, willing to play an active role in the team’s business development activities and will have a demonstrable drive to contribute to the Private Client team’s ongoing success. The reputation of the firm is excellent, and the successful candidate will join an established team. 
 
Applications received from candidates who are in a position to develop their career and are looking to achieve formal qualifications whilst having previous experience of working within Private Client may also be considered for this position as a thorough training programme will be provided, although, experienced qualified candidates will be at a distinct advantage.

• Competence and experience in handling Private Client law matters. 
• Maintain efficient systems to diarise and ensure all deadlines are met 
• Demonstrate excellent client care, apply technical knowledge and communicate complex legal matters into a commercially astute and understandable format 
• Meet with clients and provide expert legal advice in the legal area. 
• Ensure legal knowledge is kept up-to-date and commit to continual self-development 
• Run legal matters in an organised and efficient manner ensuring client document, advice history and time recording/billing processes are undertaken and recorded in accordance with firm procedures. 
 
Person & Skill Specification: 
• 3+ years demonstrable experience of managing a broad caseload of Private Client matters. 
• The ability to build and manage a caseload, work under pressure to tight deadlines and be very self-motivated 
• Credible past and consistent billing/financial performance 
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Calm under pressure. 
• Ability to support and assist in the supervision of support staff 
• Good IT knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. 
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines 
• Accuracy and attention to detail. 
• Full driving licence/own transport is essential as there may be an element of travelling to various locations to attend clients, professionals and company offices.

We are looking to recruit an experienced book-keeper. 
The postholder will work closely with the Finance Lead and will produce balanced accounts so that Trustees can receive Management Accounts on a regular basis. 
The postholder will also work on the varied types of income, allocating as appropriate to restricted and unrestricted funds. 
Location of post 
The post will be based in our Chesterfield office but we are currently working on a hybrid system with full time staff expected to be in the office 3 days per week. However, the first 3 months will be working totally from the office. 
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications 
You should have at least 3 years minimum book-keeping experience, preferably using Sage 50 (or similar) software and an understanding of budgets and cashflow.

PART TIME CONVEYANCING MANAGER

Reporting to the Head of Department, this brand new post will be responsible for ensuring our residential conveyancing teams continue to provide high quality services and comply with all regulatory obligations, policies and procedures. 
You will review and implement new processes and workflows and work with our Compliance Management Officer to ensure compliance in areas such as file reviews, audits, appraisals and anti-money laundering checks. You will also liaise with external bodies, ensure accreditations are maintained, arrange and lead meetings and deal with complaints. 
We’re seeking someone with exceptional organisational and time-management skills, able to multi-task, prioritise and manage multiple work streams concurrently. Significant administrative experience plus excellent IT and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
