At Killingworth and Parrott, we pride ourselves on delivering a personal service, providing clear practical help and advice with a common-sense approach to guide our clients through their legal issues. 
Based in the busy market town of Belper (part of the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site) the practice is embedded within the local community, and enjoys plenty of local amenities with easy transport links to the surrounding towns and cities.

Position; Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer 
Hours; Full time, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm (Part time requests will also be considered) 
Qualifications; A qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer is preferred. 
Experience; A minimum of 2 years carrying out a full time conveyancing caseload. 
Salary; Competitive remuneration dependent on experience. 
Key duties; 
● Independently progressing conveyancing matters from quoting to completion of registration, including 
sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity, as well as shared ownership, leasehold, newbuild and 
unregistered properties; 
● Providing clients with clear practical advice on legal documents generated during the conveyancing 
process; 
● Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, other Solicitors, Lenders, Estate Agents and other 
third parties; 
● Using the firm’s software and precedents to produce legal documents; 
● Working closely with colleagues, mentoring and supporting them where necessary; 
● Ensuring all work is undertaken accurately, complying with industry standards. 
The candidate should be able to; 
● demonstrate a clear understanding of the conveyancing process and be familiar with the Law Society 
Conveyancing Protocol;

Vacancy – Business & Marketing Manager 
 
St. Mary’s Chambers is one of the very few specialist Family Law Chambers outside of London. Chambers is based in the historic Lace Market area of Nottingham from where nearly 40 barristers practice in all areas of family law across the East Midlands region and beyond. Members of Chambers are regularly recommended in the Chambers Guide to the UK Bar and the Legal 500. 
We are seeking to recruit a Business & Marketing Manager to work closely with the Senior Clerk on the management of the Business & Marketing functions of Chambers. This is an exciting role with scope for further development and progression within Chambers. 
The role in brief includes: 
• Managing all of Chambers marketing activities in conjunction with the Senior Clerk, Joint Heads of Chambers & Practice Heads. This includes event planning for three annual conferences for Chambers’ core practice areas as well as arranging in-house training for our professional clients. 
• To assist the Senior Clerk with growing the value of Chambers’ services, by maintaining existing client relationships and seeking new opportunities. 
• Managing Chambers website updates, social media channels & legal directory submissions. 
• Actively working with individual barristers to help them with raising their profile and encouraging them to engage with Chambers marketing activities. 
• Representing Chambers at networking, training, and social events with the purpose of raising the profile of Chambers. 
• Creating and managing digital assets in line with Chambers branding guidelines. 
• Working with the Senior Clerk, Joint Heads of Chambers and other senior staff to implement Chambers strategy. 
• Assisting the Senior Clerk to ensure that Chambers and its barristers comply with all relevant legislation and regulation, including: Employment Law, Health and Safety, Data Protection, Equality and Diversity; and Bar Standards Board requirements. 
• Assisting the Senior Clerk with managing the premises and to ensure it remains a clean, safe and secure environment for those that work and visit. 
• Assisting the Diary Clerking team and/or Finance team when required with recurring and ad-hoc tasks. 
The following experience, knowledge and skills are preferred: 
• Project management & marketing experience. 
• 5+ years’ experience of working in a barristers’ Chambers, or other legal administration experience. 
• Strong business management & organisational skills. 
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. 
• Good IT skills including good knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint and ability to use databases effectively. 
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. 
 
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 dependant upon experience. 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Start and finish times may vary but will normally be within 9-00am until 6-00pm Monday to Friday. Out of hours work will be necessary on occasion. 
Location: Nottingham (office based).

About the role 
We have an exciting opening for a qualified Management Account to join our team at Fishers Solicitors and to head up the finance and operations teams. The role is 35 hours a week, 9 – 5, Monday to Friday and has the added perk of hybrid working.

• Month end processes including journals, accruals & prepayments, nominal analysis, balance sheet review; 
• Preparation of management account packs for partners meetings;

About the role 
We have an exciting opening for an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team at Fishers Solicitors from March 2025 in a senior role. 
This is currently a standalone position, but with our recent expansion into Derby, we hope that the department will grow in line with the firm’s strategic plans.
